Wow!!! Sorry, fans, for an outrageous amount of time between real updates. Have had money and life issues—a score of them!
Was hoping to get this done by July 25, an important date in Judith’s timeline, but netflix was late sending the disc. 100+ tries later to get the right images and everything just so, here it is. Like ‘em?
See them all here:
I also put more clips on the “The Land Before Time” page and one more clip on the “All Dogs Go to Heaven” page. The layout is new and links are different in case you have not noticed. It’s also easier to search for anything on the site, so use the search box if you need to.
The forum should be converted soon; I will update after I make sure everything is working smoothly.
More to come.
In case anyone is wondering where the forum disappeared to, I have to get it professionally converted to wordpress bb format, which will take a while because I have to tell the site doing the conversion I have the original full database of the SMF forum. So please have patience. Thanks.
Rebuilding, reorganizing, and rethinking is a tedious task. I have organized the menu differently so the listing is shorter and to the point. It is now by film or tv category. Judith did mostly TV guest appearances and commercials, so there are a lot of listings there. I also must make note that the default way wordpress organizes anything on a menu listing (or any listing) is to alphabetize the titles. I prefer to chronologically list her appearances, but wordpress does not readily allow such a system. For chronologically listed appearances of Judith, please refer to the or her IMDB listing.
Youtube videos, while convenient, have the headache of not listing video clips that are some other companies or distributors property. Because of this, I cannot post video clips of Judith in the Remington Steele episode. I apologize to fans.
To post and read the discussions and information on the forum, you must be a member. Member registration has to be approved because spamming and hacking is rampant. To apply for membership on the forum, please go here. If you are having trouble signing up, I have created a step by step guide on how to do it. If all else fails, email me and I will help you.
Many more flickr powered galleries are up with the corresponding youtube video clip or clips.
On my to do list is to get the few commercials that are not on youtube uploaded and posted; it seems they somehow disappeared.
That’s all for now; thanks for logging in!
When photo galleries in the site menu is selected, you will notice a list of titles. Select the title desired. A set of tumbnail images (from my flickr account) from that title is on the selected page along with the youtube video of Judiths appearance of the same name. More galleries are to come.
I’m still trying to figure out why wordpress has so many problems with its menu. Please be patient with me while I figure all this out.
Interview conducted on 05/12/2012
FP: 1988 was also the year of the notable deaths of two child actors; Heather O’Rourke who you had worked with on Poltergeist II, and Judith Barsi who had built a similar volume of work to you, voiced Duckie in the Land Before Time, and also did work on Growing Pains. Do you remember if , at the time, either death had an impact on you as a child actress, considering they were around the same age as you? (see our story about the tragic death of Judith and her mother)
KW: I didn’t really know Heather O’Rourke but it was a sad day when I found out about her death. Judith and her mom on the other hand were actually good friends of my mom and I. The death of the two of them was so incredibly sad because of the horrible way it happened. This was really hard to deal with. She and I saw each other on auditions all the time. We played Barbies and colored together. I remember sobbing at her funeral and it was the first time I saw a little casket. It made a big impression on me.

Here’s the deal:
I’ve been working many months on this to get the site restored; it’s still imperfect, and there’s a lot more I want to do–well, really, need to do. I need to fix the image galleries.
I’m trying to find out what I can possibly do with the site forum because not many people actively participate or sign up.
There are certain videos I cannot post because by posting them according to youtube rules I violate copyright laws.
I’ve got about 1,000,000 more things to do, but please never think I’ve given up on Judith.

In keeping with new hosting, the site’s new URL is: http://judithevabarsi.com/ Update your bookmarks, please. More coming later.
If you are wondering why the site doesn’t work, here’s why:
I am migrating hosts from apthost.com to ipage.com because I get as much space and bandwith use as I want for about $51 per year as compared to $95/year with apthost.com
The catch (and there is always a catch) is that I’ve had to transfer all the data myself which I am learning by trial and error to do. The new main URL is:
The pages work, but the other sections (gallery, media, forum) do not right now.
For now, update your bookmarks and please allow a few more days of patience until everything is up and running again. I apologize profusely for this inconvenience. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
I was playing around with themes in Coppermine to see if I could customize it. Here is that result:
Still need to tweak it.
